good morning from the confluence of the wisconsin (right) & mississippi (left) rivers. we did a 3 mile bluff hike this morning that was basically all uphill, but this view is worth it.

i got a donation solicitation letter from scott walker today along with a postage paid envelope. rather than simply toss in the recycle bin, i took the opportunity to take a few dollars away from his campaign by sending along some junk from my toolbox (old paint can openers, an outlet cover, strike plates - lots of small, flat, heavy-ish things).

i also drew a mustache & horns on his picture along with a message on the back voicing my displeasure.

i suggest that everyone who gets this at least mail it back blank, but adding some weight and a message is a nice touch. reblog if you please so we can knock a few $ out of the opposition’s coffers.

she’s quite popular in a rural part of the state and may have more pull in a general election.  remember, most people will vote for ANY democrat at this point, but someone with a little salt-of-the-earth support may bring a few more votes our way.

death’s door is distilled in madison from washington island wheat. marry this with the great wisconsin beers and all that’s lacking is a noteworthy red vino that’s not on the sweet side (love you wollersheim, but really) for the ethanol trifecta.

because, you know, his policies are helping people gain enough wealth to buy homes…el oh el.

whatever - these things are about lobbying, so the wife and i think this would be a good opportunity for creative protest.  anybody in?  who want to take off work on leap day to burn this motherfucker down?  i bet we could follow them from the terraces to the capitol during their visits from 2:30-4pm and make quite a scene.
