at least it's an ethos...

a few weeks back i was chatting with a polish lady who works on our production floor.  her english is generally stellar, which makes this particularly funny. 

she described how one of the engineers had caused some issues with her machine by adding on a new piece of equipment and she said

“he made me so mad that i fingered him!”

and then lifted her middle finger.  i obviously nearly fell down laughing.  i insisted that she had given him the finger and that she really should look up the difference as workplace policy would not allow me to explain…
