i’m not sure that there are political motivations behind any of these pretty pink-laden items. manufacturers see an inexpensive way to slap a little color on something to reach a potentially new market segment. komen takes a share. everybody wins.
like many things in this modern life we’ve built for ourselves, the end is money. in this case the means are pink and their are side benifits for the cancer striken, but everyone involved just wants cash.
this is not to say that the planned parenthood action was terribly handled and likely sweetened by political splenda, but i think this event is not correlative with their sponsors in general.
